Woman sends back "incredible" reply on Tinder after discovering man was married

On your quest for love, you have to be careful - people aren't always who they claim to be.

This is what happened to Nadiyah, from Atlanta, U.S, when she matched with a charming young man called Eric.

Their conversation quickly derailed after the American discovered that he was actually cheating on his wife.

As a stark reminder to us all that people like Eric exist, Nadiyah shared screenshots of their chat on TikTok.

She shared extracts of their initial conversation and it appeared promising, with no cheesy chat-lines or generic messages.

Eric can be seen saying he wants a "serious one lady kind of thing going" and says he's not dating anyone else.

So far, so promising.

But Nadiyah decided to check out his claims on Facebook, in order to ensure she wasn't being lied too.

And it wasn't good news - she found out he had a wife and six children. Oh dear.

She shared a screengrab of his wife's profile - where she confirmed they had been married for 2.5 years.

Nadiyah decided to get revenge, as she joked in her video caption on TikTok: "I woke up and chose [to be] petty."

The pair had a date arranged for Saturday, so she decided to ask Eric if it would be okay to bring a female friend to the date and he agreed.

She then sent him a photo of him and his wife - joking that she would be the "special guest of honour."

A presumably open-mouthed Eric just replied: "You smooth," after receiving the result of Nadiyah's detective work.

One viewer commented: "The fact that he met his wife online as well....what."

Another joked: "Not all heroes wear capes."

A third added: "This is why I stopped online dating, it's exhausting. Your reply was incredible though....he really had no response."
